# Multicast Channels

> Starbase's lowest-latency market data API is its SBE Market Data Feed, which utilizes UDP and Multicast. Market data is disseminated over multiple channels, sharded by product type. Each channel has a twin for redudancy. Any consumer should listen to both, because the A and B feed have similar latency profiles. See the table below for all available channels.

<Warning>
  **Test environment**: Only instruments actively running on Starbase in the test environment have live market data. If you subscribe to a test channel for an instrument that is not yet active on Starbase, you will not receive any data.
</Warning>

<Note>
  Market data will only be sent by the **active** switch and duplicate data will not be received. The secondary connection will begin to receive market data during a failover scenario.
